Question - Can you open a joint account at RHAND?
Answer - Yes, RHAND Credit Union does facilitate joint accounts. This facility is only applicable to the RHANDeposit product.
Question - Who is eligible to join?Answer - Anyone over the age of eighteen can join RHAND Credit Union.
Question - Can a non-member open a RHANDeposit?Answer - Yes, a non RHAND member can open a RHANDeposit. You can read more about RHANDeposits under the PRODUCTS AND SERVICES link.
Question - What services does RHAND offer to members?Answer - RHAND Credit Union offers a wide array of products and services to members. You can read more about all of them by going to the PRODUCTS AND SERVICES link.
Question - What is the Family Indemnity Plan?Answer - The Family Indemnity Plan(F.I.P.) is a Final Expenses plan associated with funeral expenses that covers you, the member and five(5) members of your family.
Question - Who are the eligible family members covered?Answer - - The member (up to age 76 years)
- Member’s spouse or significant other (up to 76 years)
- Significant other – a person of the opposite sex who lives with the member and is considered to be the Insured’s common-law spouse.
- Unmarried dependants between the ages 1- 25 years (biological or non-biological)
- Member’s parents or spouse’s parents (up to 76 years)
- All adults (not dependants) need to join the plan before reaching age 76.
Question - How much does the plan cost?Answer - Choose the plan that best suits you.

Question - Is the premium payment per person?Answer - No. One premium payment covers a minimum of 1 to a maximum of 6 persons.
Question - Does one benefit amount cover the entire family?Answer - No. Each family member would have a benefit based on the plan selected.
Question - Can I increase my benefit?Answer - Yes, you can increase your benefit. However, there is a six (6) month waiting period for a higher limit. If death occurs within the six (6) month period the lower benefit will be paid except in the case of an accident.
Question - Can I decrease my plan?Answer - No. You must cancel your current plan and re-enroll with the six(6) month period applicable.
