Overview:
This specialized course targets both existing elected Credit Union officials and members with an interest in serving as an official of a Credit Union. Participants will be registered as bona fide students of the College and will be afforded all the benefits of a regular student. As registered students, upon successful completion they will be awarded a CCLCS Certificate identifying the modules completed.

Objectives
Upon successful completion of this programme, practitioners should be able to:
- Understand the co-operative philosophy and apply the ethos to contemporary credit union operations.
- Define governance and leadership and explore the co-operative approaches to each area inclusive of definitions and trends.
- Understand ethics and ethical conduct/misconduct.
- Be familiar with the relevant financial statements within the credit union and be able to conduct a cursory analysis of each statement.
- Understand the importance of accounting procedures and practices with specific emphasis on the credit union business.
- Be familiar with legal and regulatory framework of the credit union sector, inclusive of contemporary issues.
