Overview:
This course aims to equip participants with a foundational understanding of artificial intelligence, its practical applications, and security considerations. Participants will explore prompt development for effective AI utilization, alternative AI tools beyond ChatGPT, and ethical considerations related to AI security, including myths, bias, hallucinations, and misinformation. The course will blend live interactive sessions with structured asynchronous learning, ensuring a comprehensive and engaging educational experience.
This course is designed for professionals, educators, students, and AI enthusiasts seeking to develop a deeper understanding of AI applications and security. This course is FREE to RHAND members.

Schedule: Wednesdays – March 12, 19 & 26, 2025 at 6:30pm
Total Contact Hours: 6 hours (3 synchronous Zoom sessions + 3 asynchronous hours)
Requirements
- Devices: Participants must have access to two devices (e.g., laptop and smartphone/tablet) for optimal engagement in breakout activities.

Week 3: March 26, 2025
Topic: AI Security – Myths, Bias, Hallucinations, and Fake News
- Understanding AI-generated misinformation and biases
- Ethical considerations in AI security
- Breakout group discussions: Identifying risks and mitigation strategies
- Asynchronous activity: Case study analysis and discussion board participation
