How it works
Who it covers
- A member, member’s spouse or significant other (common-law)
- Any combination of up to two persons from the member’s parents or parents-in-law (all of whom must be enrolled before age seventy-six)
- Member’s children (including dependent children under legal guardianship of the member), who are not married and are age one (1) through twenty-five (25)
- Children who are disabled are covered for the duration of their lives once they are enrolled before age twenty-six (26)

To sign up for a Family Indemnity Plan, you first have to become a RHAND member.
Here’s how you can start:
- Fill out the Enrollment Form which must be submitted in-person to the Credit Union.
- Provide one form of valid Identification.
- Provide proof of address (utility bill no older than 3 months).
- Provide proof of relationship to eligible family members (marriage certificate, birth certificate).
- Pay the first two months’ premium.
Coverage is effective the first of the month following enrollment. There is however a six-month waiting period during which only claims arising from accidental death will be paid.
