Important Update: Group Health Plan – Finalized Changes Effective June 1, 2025

We are pleased to share that following extensive review and negotiation, the details surrounding the renewal of RHAND’s Group Health Plan (GHP) have now been finalized.
This development comes as a direct result of the feedback and concerns raised by you – our valued members – and reflects our ongoing commitment to securing a more reliable, service-driven and affordable healthcare solution.
New Insurance Provider and Broker
Effective June 1, 2025, RHAND members will now be insured under Sagicor Life Inc., with Specialist Insurance Brokers Limited (SIBL) serving as the new insurance brokers. This transition marks a new chapter in service excellence, member care, and claims support.
What to Expect
The new Group Health Plan offers significant service enhancements and greater convenience, including:
- Swipe Card for seamless transactions
- Access to a Health Portal and Mobile App
- Improved claim turnaround time of 10–15 business days
- Local and International coverage
These features are designed to improve how you interact with your plan, manage your care, and receive support when you need it most.
New Premium Rates
The following monthly premium rates will apply from June 1, 2025:
Active Members (up to age 64):
- Member only: $441.70
- Member + 1 dependent: $781.80
- Family: $1,179.30
Retired Members (ages 65–99):
- Member only: $707.70
- Member + 1 dependent: $1,316.75
- Family: $1,986.25
These rates reflect a substantially lower increase than initially projected, with the added value of enhanced benefits and a stronger service framework.

Important Note on Past Claims
Please note that all claims for services rendered up to May 31, 2025, will be honored by our outgoing provider, Beacon Insurance. These claims must be submitted within 90 days of the date of service and must include all standard supporting documentation.
