The Membership Skills Development Programme was borne out of the co-operative philosophy of providing education and training for members.

In 2012, RHAND introduced the May Cherrie Honour Scholarship targeted at children entering Primary School. In issuing this award, RHAND partners with the Early Childhood Centre of the St. Martin’s Welfare Association. This Association was chosen as it was considered one of the favoured Charities of the late Ms. May Cherrie, a founding member of the RHAND Credit Union, in whose honour the scholarship is named. Three (3) scholarships are awarded annually based on select criteria including parental interest & involvement. Once selected, each awardee receives an annual bursary for seven (7) years.
RHAND Scholarships continue to sow seeds of academic excellence and discipline, ensuring our youth are ready to take on the world by building strong pillars of success. RHAND offers scholarships to the children of members. Each year a total of thirty, five (5)-year scholarships are granted to members children who were successful in their exams based on the following categories:
