Winners of the RHAND Save Little, WIN BIG Promotion Take Home Prizes Totalling $100,000!

 

We are thrilled to announce the winners of our, Save Little, WIN BIG – Share Drive Promotion, aimed at fostering a culture of savings and financial empowerment among our members. Andre Nestor and Kathy-Ann Smith emerged as the lucky recipients of the prizes, with Nestor winning a RHAND Flex Deposit account valued at $25,000 and Smith winning a RHAND Flex Deposit an account valued at $75,000.

“[The promotion] exemplifies RHAND’s commitment to promoting financial well-being and inclusion among its members,” said President of our Board of Directors, Ms. Simone Petal Dawn Huggins. “When individuals have access to credit, savings, and investment products, they are not just managing money; they are shaping destinies – theirs as well as those of the wider communities,” she added.

 

The Promotion, which ran from 1^st July 2023, to 31^st March 2024, was aimed at encouraging members to increase their share savings by offering the opportunity to win substantial prizes. Over the period,  more than 2400 members met the saving threshold to be entered to win the grand prizes. Members who saved between $3,000 and $5,999.99 during the promotional period were entered to win a Flex Deposit valued at $25,000, while those who saved $6,000 or more stood a chance to win a Flex Deposit valued at $75,000.

At RHAND we continue to encourage our members to develop a culture of saving on their shares, recognizing that even small, regular contributions can yield significant benefits.

Share savings are intended to be more permanent and are considered the lifeblood of the Credit Union. Share savings form the basis of the Society’s lending base, as well as the security against which members borrow.
