“Leading the Right Path“
As part of our continued commitment to Youth Education and Development, RHAND Credit Union extends an invitation to children of existing members to attend our free seminar themed: “Leading the Right Path” on Saturday March 14th, 2020 from 8:00 am – 3:30pm at our Head Office, in Port of Spain and Saturday March 21st, 2020 from 8:00 am – 3:30pm at Bishop’s High School, in Scarborough.
This one-day seminar aimed at assisting students of the middle forms, i.e. forms 3, 4 and 5, of Secondary Schools with managing problems they encounter during this period. The Credit Union has noted that some Secondary School Students have not embraced the transition into secondary schooling as easily as others. It is possible that some encounter problems balancing other interests e.g. sports, music, drama, visual and creative expressions, among other activities with their academic schoolwork.
Accordingly, the seminar will comprise interactive lectures on key aspects that would be helpful for students in shaping their goals.
The areas to be covered would include but not be limited to;
- Time management
- Problem Solving
- Effective Communication
- Preparation for Exams
- Transitioning between forms
- The supportive role of parents
Breakfast will be served up to 8:30 a.m. and reservations for this seminar is on a first-confirmed, first-served basis. We encourage students who attended the 2019 Seminars to register this year. Parents of participants are asked to join us at 2:30 pm for a combined session.
